A cargo plane departing from Narita Airport, Japan, and going to the United States was hurriedly hit by a thunderbolt.

According to NHK, Boeing 747 of Japan Cargo Airlines, which took off from Narita Airport at about 11:30 pm on the 26th, met a thunderbolt over the Pacific Ocean at an altitude of 6700 m after taking off 20 minutes.

The aircraft, which was headed to Anchorage, USA, immediately sailed and landed at Narita Airport at 1 am on the 27th.

The cargo plane was said to have had five people, including a pilot, but no one was hurt.

The airline is investigating whether the aircraft is damaged, NHK said.
