For many homeless people, a place to sleep during the night is not guaranteed, and you often have to rely on help from others. According to Magnus Uhlin at the City Mission, the social distancing during the corona pandemic has made it more difficult to get a temporary place to sleep.

Has it made you work differently?

- On the one hand, we have to focus much more on hygiene than normal, work a lot with the information. We have also had a close dialogue with the city of Västerås, which has developed an apartment. To this we can refer a homeless person who shows corona symptoms. Because if you do not have a home, you can not isolate yourself socially, says Magnus Uhlin, director of the City Mission.
