The latest issue of Society magazine devoted to the Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès affair will be reprinted in the face of the enthusiasm of readers, the boss of the press group Franck Annese going so far as to post his phone number on Twitter to allow broadcasters to restock.

This special issue, which devotes about thirty pages to this extraordinary criminal case, was printed in 70,000 copies and will be reprinted for Thursday at 30,000 copies, specifies SoPress, which publishes the magazine.

Since its publication Thursday, the keyword #jecherchesociety has flourished on Twitter, where Internet users document out-of-stock newsstands or on the contrary the points of sale where the magazine is available.

Mentioning "a craze close to madness", SoPress boss Franck Annese posted his cell phone number on Twitter with the message: "to all broadcasters call me or send me SMS to tell me how much you want to receive from Society issues we reprint and deliver the points of sale on Thursday morning.

He told Le Figaro newspaper that 3,800 points of sale were out of stock all over France, and that the magazine usually sold 47,000 copies on average, including 11,000 at newsagents.

The bimonthly, which says it has conducted four years of investigation into the case to come out with a 70-page account, promises "the most detailed account ever published on the case": "through the eyes of sources at the heart of the story (many of which have never been expressed before), you will enter the meanders of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès' brain ".

The story has been split into two parts, the next episode will appear on August 6.

Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, suspected of having killed his wife and four children in Nantes in April 2011, has never been found, giving rise to numerous hypotheses as to whether he is dead or a fugitive.

In October, the announcement of his false arrest had caused a lot of noise but it was a French retiree of Portuguese origin GuyJoao.
