Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh condemned the crime of burning settlers, parts of the Al-Bir and Ihsan Mosque in the city of Al-Bireh and a line of racist slogans on its walls at dawn today.

Shtayyeh described this at the beginning of the government session in Ramallah as a criminal and racist act, and held the occupation responsible for the settlers ’escape and their increasing violence.

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs also condemned the attack, and Undersecretary Sam Abu Al-Rub asserted in a statement that Al-Jazeera Net obtained a copy of it, that this criminal and racist act bears the responsibility of the occupation government, which is working hard to support these terrorist groups and that spares no effort in attacking the sanctities of Muslims. And their mosques.

Settlers burned parts of the Al-Bir and Al-Ihsan Mosque in Al-Bireh, near the city of Ramallah in the central West Bank, at dawn today after throwing burning materials in it, trying to burn the entire mosque.

The facilities came under fire and did not extend to the mosque, while settlers wrote hostile and racist slogans on its walls.

For its part, Hamas called on the Palestinian masses in the West Bank to address the crimes of settlers in the villages and governorates of the West Bank, and the movement's spokesman, Hazem Qassem, said in a press statement that the attack on the Al-Bir and Ihsan Mosque in the city of Al-Bireh was a brutal behavior and hostility to all human values ​​that respect religions and places of worship.

The Islamic Jihad movement also condemned the attack, and the movement's leader, Daoud Shihab, stressed in a press statement the need to protect mosques from the terror of settlers.
