The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced to five years imprisonment and deportation the right of an Asian unemployed who killed his friend during a joint session that brought them together with two other people.
Investigations by the Dubai Public Prosecution stated that the defendant and the other two persons did not notice the death of the victim until two days after the crime took place, as the first did not intend to kill him but directed random punches and kicks to his chest and neck to intimidate him, and when he fell to the ground they thought that he was unconscious and completed their session Then they left.
An eyewitness working mechanically, during the Public Prosecution's investigations, said that from time to time he used to meet his friend, the victim, and took alcoholic drinks together, noting that he met him on the day of the crime in the Al-Quoz region, and the accused and another person accompanied them.
He added that he went to meet his need and when he returned, he did not find his phone, so he asked them about his location, and the defendant answered him that the victim was the one who took it, so the latter denied, and accordingly a verbal altercation occurred between the accused and the victim, so the first began to hit the second in the chest until he fell to the ground, then left The accused then, and the witness stayed for a while with the other person, and left without noticing that all of them died as a result of the assault.
He pointed out that he returned to the scene after two days and was shocked that the victim had died, and that he was arrested by the police because he was there, so he explained to them what happened and helped them arrest the accused.
For his part, a witness from Dubai Police said that a report was received about finding a deceased person in a parked truck in one of the parking spaces, and he moved there with the specialists from the crime scene and forensic experts and evidence, and by asking those present, the owner of the vehicle stated that he did not know this person and informed the police when he saw him lying on His back motionless.
He added that during the search and investigation, an Asian person who was under the influence of alcoholic beverages came to cry, and decided that the deceased was his friend and they were together on the roof of the truck trailer, and he recounted what happened, indicating that he saw the accused beating the victim and run over him with his leg on his chest, stressing that he did not realize that his friend died He was affected by this attack and left on this basis.
The witness indicated that, accordingly, the sources were recruited and several teams formed until the arrest of the accused and admitted that he assaulted his hands and feet on the victim, after a verbal argument between them, and he knew that he had died only from the police.
The forensic report revealed that the victim died of injuries to the middle of the chest, neck and head, attributing this to beating with hands and kicks in the legs, suggesting that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his death at a rate that affects the strength of his feelings and perception.
