Iraqi pharmacist Ahmed Al-Saher wants to help citizens and some patients adapt to the situation, and protect themselves from the Corona virus by listening to a song with his voice on the measures needed to curb the spread of the disease.

Al-Saher, 32, formed a team with his colleague, the poet Qasim Al-Jizani, and together they produced a song aimed at raising community awareness about putting up masks, washing hands and committing to social distance to protect themselves from Corona.

Whether Saher sings in the corridors of a hospital in Basra where he works as a volunteer, or in his pharmacy, he hopes that his music will contribute to educating society and at the same time raising the morale of hospital patients who are fighting the disease that afflicts the respiratory system.

Al-Saher and his partner produced a video clip for this purpose, and we publish it on the Internet.

The songwriter, Qasim Al-Jizani, said that the idea was born to give a positive and psychological impulse to patients and make them feel relaxed and happy, as well as for medical teams to continue working.

Al-Saher explained that a small clip of a song might do what a large amount of medicine does not do.

Al-Saher is passionate about singing since he was young, and he produced three songs, the latest of which deals with the subject of the Corona pandemic, while the other two revolve around
love and patriotism.

"Music has positive effects, especially on the patient and the person who suffers from difficulties and difficult circumstances, and attention must be paid to the songs and music performed by some doctors and pharmacists in hospitals," said Iraqi citizen Kazem Jakhyour.

As of Sunday, Iraq had 107,573 confirmed infections, including 4284 deaths.
