As the department clarified, the Navy, together with defense industry enterprises, is testing the first nuclear-powered submarine carrying the Poseidon, which was launched in March 2019.
“The crew of the ship continues the practical development of new weapons on a standard carrier,” the ministry said.
In June 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the latest Russian weapons, including the Poseidon underwater drone, would be delivered to the troops in the coming years.
