The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, reviewed today with an American military delegation led by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milli, the strategic cooperation relations between the two countries.

The meeting, which was held at Qasr Al Bahr in Doha, discussed cooperation in the defense, military and security fields, and the two parties discussed the most important developments in the region and joint efforts to enhance their security and stability.

It is noteworthy that about 13 thousand American soldiers - the majority of whom are from the Air Force - are stationed at Al-Udeid Military Air Force Base, 30 kilometers southwest of Doha.

America and its allies use the base of many - which represent the largest US military presence in the Middle East - in the war against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
