The government of Jean Castex is finally complete after the appointment of eleven Secretaries of State, including six new personalities, announced Sunday by the Elysee.

"The team is complete. With them, and for you, each of the next 600 days must be useful to the country and up to its challenges. It is as close as possible to the French that we will find solutions for them: we will go meet you, everywhere on the territory. See you soon! ", welcomed the Prime Minister on Twitter after this announcement.

We therefore had to wait almost three weeks for the government to be completed. In the end, it has 16 ministers, 14 deputy ministers and 12 secretaries of state (only one, Gabriel Attal, government spokesperson, had been appointed on July 6), for a total of 42 members.

The re-appointed Secretaries of State are Sophie Cluzel (People with disabilities), Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne (Tourism, French abroad and French-speaking), Cédric O (Digital transition and electronic communities), Laurent Pietraszewski (Pensions and occupational health) and Adrien Taquet (Childhood and families), the latter seeing his scope extended to the family.

Among these new entrants, Elysée advisor Clément Beaune (European affairs) but above all five deputies: Bérangère Abba (biodiversity), Nathalie Elimas (Priority education), Sarah El Hairy (Youth and engagement), Olivia Grégoire (Social economy, united and responsible) and Joël Giraud (rurality), the opportunity to put a little balm in the heart to a majority abused in recent months.

Among the entrants are two deputies of the Modem of François Bayrou, a close ally of Emmanuel Macron: Nathalie Elimas, a former teacher, very committed in favor of families, and Sarah El Hairy, a rising figure in the training of François Bayrou.

"Bravo to everyone and to work! With a special greeting for the parliamentarians who come to join the team and highlight the talents within the groups of our majority", greeted on Twitter the Minister of Relations with Parliament Marc Fesneau, himself Modem.

"Excellent decision of the President and the Prime Minister to draw on the talents of the majority", added the former president of the National Assembly François de Rugy. On the other hand, there is no poaching from parties outside the majority.

After three years as a close advisor to Emmanuel Macron, Clément Beaune for his part sees his loyalty rewarded by being promoted to Secretary of State for European Affairs, a strategic position to carry the president's European ambitions.

At 38, this unknown to the general public entered the government a few days after actively participating in the European summit, "historic" according to Emmanuel Macron, where the 27 States of the European Union agreed on a recovery plan of 750 billion dollars. 'euros.

Parity is respected, and even a little better, since including Jean Castex, there are 21 men and 22 women in this government.

The President of the Republic will bring them all together on the occasion of the next Council of Ministers, this Wednesday, July 29 at 10:00 am, the Elysee said in his press release.

Already bloated, the government could still be supplemented with the appointments of high commissioners. François Bayrou is thus approached to take charge of the plan.

After the departure of prominent figures in the government of Edouard Philippe, Nicole Belloubet, Muriel Pénicaud, Christophe Castaner, Didier Guillaume and Sibeth Ndiaye, only two Secretaries of State are paying the price for these new appointments: Brune Poirson, who is said in a tweet "very honored to have been able to advance the ecological transition in France by carrying the anti-waste law which has transformed the waste sector" and Christelle Dubos.
