Clippers point guard Lou Williams will have to watch a ten-day quarantine after a trip to Atlanta, and will miss his team's next two games in the NBA, next Thursday and Saturday in Orlando.

Williams flew to Atlanta on Thursday to attend a friend's funeral, but then photos showing him at a strip club alongside a rapper circulated on social media. A getaway that greatly displeased trainer Doc Rivers, already plagued by staffing concerns.

Williams is indeed the third Clippers player to be absent from Orlando for family reasons after Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell.

Twenty-two teams are confined in the "bubble" of Disney World in Orlando (Florida) where the 2019-2020 season must be completed, interrupted on March 11 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Players coming out of the "bubble" are tested daily off campus and must spend at least four days in quarantine in their hotel room upon their return. Doctors can extend this quarantine to ten days if they deem it necessary.

Williams will therefore miss at least the game against the Lakers of LeBron James on Thursday, as well as the next against New Orleans on Saturday.

With 44 wins and 20 losses, the Clippers are second in the Western Conference, behind the Lakers.

There are eight regular-season games left for all teams before the play-offs start in August.
