Local media said that the Kuwaiti Attorney General issued a decision to seize the funds of at least 10 famous social media platforms, and prevent them from traveling.

Al-Qabas and Al-Akhbar newspapers reported that the prosecution's decision came after a report by the Financial Investigation Unit against these celebrities, due to the inflation of their bank accounts, which raises the suspicion of money laundering.

Al-Qabas published the names of the celebrities concerned, and said that the decision expected against them after that is to arrest them and bring them.

It is mentioned that Kuwait is ranked first in the Gulf in the number of accounts on social media platforms, whether citizens or residents of its territory.

According to previous statistics published by Al-Qabas newspaper, there are 3 million Facebook users in the country, 1.8 million users of Instagram, and 1.68 million users of Twitter.
