Hollywood star Olivia de Havilland, who had notably played in "Gone with the Wind", died Sunday in Paris, where she resided, at the age of 104, her agent announced.

"Dame Olivia de Havilland passed away peacefully of natural causes," US Agent Lisa Goldberg said in a statement about the two-time Oscar-winning actress for best actress.

She passed away in her Parisian residence, in France, where she had lived since the early 1950s, she added.

Unforgettable Mélanie of the huge success "Gone with the Wind" by Victor Fleming, she was the dean of Hollywood, of which she embodied the golden age of the 1930s-1940s.

Several times nominated, she won the Oscar for best actress for "To Each His Own Destiny" (Mitchell Leisen, 1946) and "The Heiress" (William Wyler, 1949).
