Five civilians were killed and 17 wounded, in a bombing targeting a vegetable market in the city of Ras al-Ain in Hasaka countryside, in northern Syria, which is under opposition control.

The explosion took place by a car bomb, and also caused great material damage to the market.

Anatolia news agency reported that among the dead were a child and two women, and that those who were seriously injured, were transferred to hospitals in Turkey.

She said that the security forces in the area have pointed the finger of blame at the "BBK-BP" organization, which had previously carried out similar bombings in Ras Al-Ain and other areas in northern Syria.

In another incident, the civil defense said that a young man was killed, while two others were wounded by artillery shelling targeting the village of Ain Laruz in the southern countryside of Idlib, in northern Syria.

The Civil Defense posted on its Facebook account pictures showing the ambulance operations of the injured at the scene.
