Informed Kuwaiti security sources revealed that about 1,000 residence permits for expatriates fall daily due to their presence outside the country and the failure of their sponsors or employers to renew them for them, noting that the Ministry of Interior has allowed since the beginning of the new Corona virus crisis, electronic renewal.
The sources pointed out that «there are a lot of companies and employers who renew their workers’ residency located outside Kuwait due to the airport’s closure and their inability to return to the country, however there is another section that has not completed the renewal and among them are sponsors who have not renewed for their families, and therefore bear the responsibility for the residencies of residency, and there is no relationship with the Ministry Interior in this regard ».
The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai quoted in its Sunday edition, the sources, saying that "the expatriates whose residency is revoked while they are outside the country cannot return again except through a new entry visa", explaining that "the situation of these people is different from others who spent more than six months outside the country, and their residency Valid, because the deadline for them has been extended until the end of this year. ”
The Ministry had invited citizens and residents to benefit from the services of the Ministry of Interior website provided by the General Administration of Residence Affairs and all security sectors in order to save effort, time and speed of completion.
