Between Manchester United, Leicester and Chelsea, three teams compete for the last two tickets for the Champions League on Sunday (5:00 p.m.) during the 38th and final day of the English Championship.

From Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea (4th, 63 pts) receives Wolverhampton, to Leicester (5th, 62 pts), which hosts Manchester United (3rd, 63 pts), all the meetings will start at the same time, the promise of a scenario panting to end a season like no other, interrupted for three months by the coronavirus.

The den of the "Foxes" will host the last shock of the season with this direct confrontation for qualification in the Champions League.

Between Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester, the classification as the current dynamic indicate the latter as a weak link. With only two wins in eight days since the resumption in mid-June, Brendan Rodgers' men left the top 4 midweek for the first time since September.

Conversely, the "Red Devils" have been unstoppable lately, like midfielder Bruno Fernandes: they have not lost in the Championship since a surprise defeat against Burnley in January.

If the meeting designates a winner, he will be guaranteed a ticket for the next C1, alongside champion Liverpool and runner-up Manchester City. Leicester and Manchester United could also qualify together for European competition in the event of a draw coupled with a defeat for Chelsea.

- Consolation prize -

But the "Blues" will be dealing with another big chunk with the "Wolves", currently sixth with 59 points, and who need a victory to secure a place in the Europa League.

Wolverhampton's direct pursuer, Tottenham (7th, 58 pts), will go in parallel to an affordable opponent, Crystal Palace (14th) who has nothing more to play this season. José Mourinho's men finish strong and come from three consecutive victories.

The disappointed team between Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester, will have fifth place and a direct qualification for the Europa League group stage as their consolation prize.

Far behind this fight for Europe, the competition is also tough at the bottom of the table, where three clubs are fighting for maintenance.

17th place, the first non-relegation, falls for the time being to Aston Villa (34 pts), one of the historic Premier League clubs, back in the elite this season after three years of exile in the Championship.

- Miraculous maintenance for Bournemouth? -

But the Birmingham club only occupies this saving place thanks to a goal difference just better than that of Watford, 18th (-26 against -27).

The two clubs will compete at a distance a few kilometers from each other, Aston Villa on the field of West Ham (15th), Watford on that of Arsenal (10th).

Meanwhile, Bournemouth (19th, 31 pts), who goes to Everton (11th), has not said his last word: a victory coupled with defeats of his two predecessors in the standings, and the club, in the Premier League since 2015, will miraculously offer a sixth consecutive season in the elite.

"The next game is the most important of our careers," said Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.

Between Aston Villa, Watford and Bournemouth, two teams will follow the already relegated Norwich in D2. And will meet the club of Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds, Championship champion who will return to the Premier League 16 years after having left it, and West Bromwich Albion, in 2nd place.
