Over 300 cyclists compete in 26 different classes on Saturday and Sunday. In normal cases, the competition season for national competitions in Sweden starts already at the end of March or in April. But the Public Health Agency's recommendations and restrictions on Covid-19 have delayed the season.

But now it is in full swing, and it takes place on the country roads between Lekeryd and Forserum, outside Jönköping.

-It's great fun, we have fought a lot for this, ever since March, says competition leader Alexander Wetterhall.

The Swedish Cycling Federation wants Lekeryd to become a center for cycling competitions, Alexander Wetterhall explains. The ambition is for national competitions to be arranged right here for at least five years.

In the clip above, you hear the competition leader explain the Swedish Cycling Federation's plans to make Lekeryd a competition center for cycling.
