The spokesman for the forces of the National Accord government, Mohamed Qanunu, confirmed the continuation of military operations to "cleanse all Libyan cities", while America indicated that it has increased evidence that Russia is deploying military equipment in the region.

Kanounou added that his forces are moving east, and that they are stationed on the outskirts of the city of Sirte, awaiting instructions to start the "Paths of Victory" military operation, as he said that the government of reconciliation will determine the red lines.

For its part, the US military command in Africa (AFRICOM) said it has growing evidence that Russia, through the Wagner Group, continues to deploy military equipment in Libya.

Africom said in a statement that the aerial photographs show Wagner forces and equipment on the front lines in Sirte, noting that Russia provided these forces with combat aircraft, armored vehicles, air defense systems and supplies.

She added that Russian military cargo aircraft continue to provide Wagner fighters with air defense equipment and mine-resistant armored vehicles, and that the size of this equipment indicates an intention to strengthen the capabilities of offensive combat operations, which would complicate the situation in Libya.

In the same context, sources confirmed to the island that mercenaries from the Wagner company are preparing the Ras Lanuf oil airport to launch military operations from it.

The sources added that these mercenaries have been stationed at the airport for days, accompanied by a number of Syrian mercenaries.

She said that there are indications that the Crescent Petroleum Ports will be a first line of defense for Wagner's militants in the event of their sudden withdrawal from the city of Sirte.

According to the sources, one of the Syrian mercenaries confirmed that he participated with a number of Syrians in armed confrontations during the war in the capital, Tripoli, and that they are receiving salaries from the leadership of Haftar forces, estimated at one thousand dollars per month.
