After a tough winter without snow and a spring with a loss of SEK 6 million due to cancellations in the wake of the corona virus, it is now significantly better times for Isaberg. CEO Louise Söderlund says that the facility is heading towards a summer with a record number of visitors.

- It's great fun! There is a lot of activity on the mountain right now. The campsite is fully booked and the cottage rental is maxed out to week 33.

She says that this year, for example, there are significantly more local visitors because many holiday at home.

- You look around the corner for activities.

Developed summer activities

But a good summer can not save the economic loss that the mild winter meant for the activity facility. But Isaberg has for several years invested in developing the summer activities as well, something that is now yielding results, says Louise Söderlund.

- We not only have the winter leg to stand on anymore and it has proven to be right. We manage and stand strong despite the winter.

She expects the facility this year to make a profit of plus-minus zero, something they may not have anticipated when the corona pandemic broke out.

- We have been very worried about what could happen. But now it feels safe. We remind people to keep their distance.

But there are a lot of people in one place?

- Yes, but it is a large area and the municipality comes here twice a week and gives us help and advice. It feels great, says Louise Söderlund.
