At around 4 pm, the police were alerted to Tomtaklint in Trosa after the man himself stated that he had been attacked by the woman, who according to him must have been armed with a sharp object.
The man was taken to hospital with a wound in the neck. He must have been awake and talkable, the police write on their website.
Just over two hours later, the woman could be arrested in Vagnhärad, suspected of attempted murder.
The police are now investigating the background to the incident.
