“The hearings in the criminal case will be held on September 14,” Belo said.

He said that the order to send the case to court had been signed by the investigating judge three days ago.

He stated that at the moment "it is not clear whether the hearings will last one day or will be set for several days."

In early June, the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece held hearings on the appeal against the decision of the Greek Ministry of Justice to extradite Vinnik to France.

On February 17, the Paris Court of Appeal left Vinnik in custody, rejecting the defense's appeal. The Russian Foreign Ministry promised to continue demanding the extradition of the Russian.

Alexander Vinnik was arrested in Greece in 2017 at the request of the United States, where he is accused of creating a cryptocurrency exchange without a license from the American authorities, through which, according to Washington, billions of dollars were laundered.
