July 24, 2020: Slowly started, between lockdowns and partial openings, the Italians' summer seems to start from this week. Red dot on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July with alert already today. The worst day to leave, however, is Saturday 8 August, to which the Plan of services for the summer exodus 2020 of Viabilità Italia assigned the 'black dot', in particular in the morning.

In detail, the traffic data for the past two months have suggested marking the weekends of 24-26 July and 31st July - 2nd August with the "red dot". The weekend of 7 - 9 August is the one in which the highest traffic volumes are expected, with a forecast of critical issues from " black stamp ""for the morning of Saturday 8 August. Red dot also for the last two weekends of August, in which the return traffic will be concentrated.

The arteries of Liguria deserve particular attention , still paralyzed because of the highway yards. Still inconvenience this morning along the Genoese motorway junction, up to seven kilometers of tail have been registered on the A12. And the stretch of the A10 between Genoa and Ventimiglia, that of the A12 between Genoa and Viareggio and the A15 between Parma and La Spezia are among the main routes. which will be most affected by the flows of tourist traffic in the coming weeks.

Based on the forecast data of the road owners / concessionaires, the motorway sections most affected by the flows of tourist traffic will be: A22, along the entire stretch and in particular near the exits to the mountain resorts; A4, leaving Milan , between Sommacampagna and the connection with the A22, between Padua and Qu Arto d´Altino, and more generally along the entire stretch of Veneto and Friuli to the Lisert Barrier; A6 between Turin and Savona; A8 / A9, near the state border with Switzerland; A10 between Genoa and Ventimiglia; A12 between Genoa and Viareggio; A15 between Parma and La Spezia; A1, between Piacenza and the junction with the A15, in the Bolognese and Florentine junctions, between Rome and Cassino and between Caserta and the connection with the A30; A3, between Naples and Salerno ; A14, between Bologna and Cattolica and between Ancona and Vasto; A30 between the connection with the A1 and the Salerno-Avellino connection ; A23, near the state border with Austria from the intersection with the A4.

The prefectures have drawn up intervention and emergency management plans which foresee, on the one hand, 24-hour monitoring at strategic points of mechanical and medical emergency vehicles, on the other, a strengthening of the traffic police and civil protection services, both long the main motorway routes which along the ordinary alternative road network, where the State police forces and the local police will operate.
