Russia and the United States will hold bilateral consultations in Vienna

The American delegation will include representatives from the State Department, the Pentagon, the Department of Energy and the National Security Council.

"(Parties. - RT), as part of the US's desire to expand arms control to a trilateral format, they will discuss nuclear doctrine and warheads, transparency and verifiability," RIA Novosti quoted a message as saying.

In early July, the US President's special envoy for arms control Marshall Billingsley expressed hope that talks with Russia on strategic stability at the level of technical experts would take place within a few weeks.

On June 22, the previous round of talks between Russia and the United States took place in Vienna, which lasted almost ten hours.
