The chaos surrounding the end of the Spanish second division football league continued on Friday, when Fuenlabrada announced that one of its players was hospitalized after a positive test for the Coruna virus.

The club stated that one of the 6 players whose test results were positive felt ill and went to the hospital, adding, "It is not dangerous, but he decided to enter the hospital as a precautionary measure." The team refused to disclose the name of the player and demanded that the name be respected.

And it seemed that Spanish football was able to safely manage the season which was struck by the Corona virus epidemic by ending the first division last Sunday.

However, before the start of the last round of the second-tier matches on Monday, the Fuenlabrada team, which hopes to play in the boarding supplement, announced positive tests for 6-player Corona virus.

Fuenlabrada's match with Deportivo was canceled, while the rest of the matches were played.

The Fuenlabrada team is quarantined at a hotel. Additional tests revealed the emergence of 6 positive results, bringing the number of people infected with the virus in the club to 16, including 4 from the technical staff who did not travel.

The postponement of Fuenlabrada match with Deportivo has caused widespread controversy in Spain, and Deportivo is demanding that the last round be repeated in full, because running the rest of the matches is not in line with the principle of "equal opportunities", knowing that the team has officially confirmed its decline, without playing the match.

For his part, Fuenlabrada, if they win or draw against Deportivo, will be able to qualify to play for the supplement instead of sixth-placed Elche.

Elche argues, however, that he is unfair as Deportivo has already landed and has nothing to play for.
