A real ambush. Thursday, around 7 p.m., police officers from the anti-crime squad were attacked by about fifteen young people in the Grand-Parc district in Bordeaux. Officials were sprayed with explosives and fireworks, reports Sud-Ouest .

The police on patrol passed people on two stolen scooters and then chased them. Far from being caught, the young people abandoned the two-wheelers near the rue des Frères-Portmann, before fleeing.

Four minors arrested

The officers called a convenience store to retrieve the scooters, but it was at this point that about 15 young people, whose faces were hidden, attacked the police. Faced with fireworks launched directly against their vehicle, several police officers were injured, one of whom was burned in the arms and calves.

The three policemen called for reinforcements and managed to escape this dangerous situation. Four minors were finally arrested Thursday evening and an investigation was opened by the Bordeaux prosecutor's office.
