Restless evening Thursday evening for the police of the Bordeaux agglomeration. Three police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) first came under "firework mortar fire" from a "group of fifteen individuals" in the popular district of Grand-Parc in Bordeaux. An officer who remained inside the targeted vehicle was lightly burned in his left hand by explosive residue that entered the cockpit,

Later that evening, a police officer used his service weapon in Pessac during a chase. It all started around midnight after a carjacking during which a woman was kicked out of her vehicle by three people who stole it from her.

No injuries

The police tried to intercept them by setting up a roadblock, but the thieves forced him. It was at this time that an officer, feeling in danger, used his weapon. No injuries are to be deplored.

The chase finally ended in downtown Bordeaux. Two people, aged 19 and 20, were arrested and taken into police custody.
