Paris Saint-Germain club crowned the French Football Cup, after beating Saint-Etienne with a clean goal, in a confrontation that saw Killian Mbappe exit after suffering a violent intervention.

At the Stade de France in Paris, Saint-Germain won the title for the 13th time in its history, moving away by 3 titles to second-placed Marseille in the ranking of the most winning clubs.

Brazilian Neymar scored the only goal of the match for Paris in the 13th minute.

In the 26th minute, Mbabe was injured at the ankle level as a result of a strong intervention by Saint Etienne captain Luik Perrin, causing his expulsion.

The striker (21 years) appeared minutes before the end of the match, heading towards the bench using crutches, which raised fears that he might be away for a long time.

St Germain scored the double; After culminating in the league earlier, and aspires to achieve the local trio by crowning the League Cup in the upcoming final against Lyon next Friday, before sabbatical to face Atalanta in the Champions League quarter-final on August 12 next.
