French Federation President Noel Le Gray has praised his compatriot Karim Benzema for his great brilliance and scoring 21 goals, which directly contributed to the crowning of his team Real Madrid title La Liga, but the player responded sarcastically with his statements.

Le Grée told French channel (RMC Sport) that "(Benzema) spent an exceptional season with Real Madrid, he is the best in his career, he is one of the best (in the world). I congratulated his coach (Zinedine) Zidane."

Benzema quickly responded to Le Gray’s remarks by tweeting through his official Twitter account, in which he said, “I prefer laughing about this.”

Last November, Le Gray had ruled out Benzema's return to the French national team when he said, "He is a great player in Real Madrid. But his career with the French national team is over."

Benzema then responded to social media, saying he was the only one to put an end to his international career.

Benzema, 32, has not been called up to the French team since 2015, and the roosters without him crowned the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which supported the team's lack of efforts, but after restoring his brilliance with the riyal and the president's praise, he may be called back to the World Cup champions squad.
