A motorist collided head-on with a heavy truck moving in the other direction. The facts occurred around 9:30 am this Friday morning, on the departmental road 29 near the commercial area of Haguenau, in the Bas-Rhin.
The driver of the car was declared dead after the intervention of a doctor, indicates the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of Bas-Rhin. As for the driver of the truck, he was transported to the hospital in relative urgency.
According to witnesses quoted by the Latest News from Alsace , the motorist would have moved on the way of the heavy goods vehicle, which could not therefore avoid the accident.
