Next opponent of Paris SG in the Champions League, Atalanta Bergamo took a deserved point on the lawn of AC Milan (1-1) on Friday at the opening of the 36th day of Serie A, of which the "Dea" remains second.

While PSG won their 13th Coupe de France against Saint-Etienne, Atalanta had this interesting meeting against Milan, for a duel between the two most convincing teams of the post-confinement in Italy.

And the draw was a very fair result between two teams who confirmed their strength and their current good form, even if they were both technically a little confused at times.

Atalanta will be happy to have been able to end the Rossoneri's three-game winning streak. But Gian Piero Gasperini's side have lost a bit of madness and brilliance lately and remain in three games with only one goal scored each time, after weeks of offensive exuberance.

The Bergamasques were led to the score after the superb free kick transformed by Calhanoglu (14th), in the manner of Toni Kroos with Germany against Sweden at the World Cup-2018.

But Atalanta came back to the game well and could have equalized from the penalty spot, but Donnarumma fended off Mlinovskyi's average attempt.

The Nerazzurri, still handicapped by the heavy absence of Ilicic, still quickly equalized by Zapata (34th), all in power.

The second period was very balanced, with a little more chances for Atalanta, but also a shot on the post from Bonaventura for Milan.

In the standings, Atalanta remains 2nd, five points behind Juventus and two lengths ahead of Inter Milan (3rd) and three over Lazio Rome (4th).

This small point taken by Atalanta also means that if Juventus is to be titled this weekend, it will not be in the locker room thanks to the results of his pursuers, but on the field, beating Sampdoria Genoa on Sunday.

Milan for its part remains 6th, one point behind AS Rome (5th), which can widen the gap with the reception of Fiorentina on Sunday.
