Khamzaev proposes to levy a tax of 30% on profits after all necessary taxes have been paid.

In his address, he noted that retail and catering enterprises receive large revenues from the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, while the entire social burden from the abuse of these products falls on the state.

According to the estimates of "Sober Russia", the total economic losses that arise from the abuse of alcohol and tobacco amount to 5% of GDP, the public figure stressed.

“In this regard, we ask you to consider the possibility of introducing a targeted fee of 30%, which companies - retail trade and catering enterprises - will transfer to the development of the health care system in regional budgets from the profit received from the sale of alcohol and tobacco products after payment of all stipulated taxes ", - said in the text of the appeal.

At the same time, as Khamzaev noted, the final cost of these goods should not include a percentage of deductions.

“The price of using regulatory mechanisms should not increase for buyers by more than 10%,” he said.

According to Khamzaev, the implementation of this idea will allow regional medical institutions to receive a new, targeted source of funding.

Earlier, the State Duma adopted a law on the extension of anti-tobacco legislation to vapes and electronic cigarettes and on administrative liability for its violation.
