Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia held a meeting with adviser to the President of the Congo

It is noted that the parties discussed "the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial Russian-Congolese cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields, as well as the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects by Russian companies in this African country."

Also during the conversation, "the situation in connection with the spread of coronavirus in African countries was considered."

“Regional issues were discussed with an emphasis on the political settlement of conflicts on the African continent,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the director of the WHO health emergencies program, Michael Ryan, said that the rate of spread of coronavirus infection in Africa is of serious concern.
