They added that the citizen fishermen helped them to master the new profession, and revealed their secrets to them, which allowed them to seize the opportunity to improve their living conditions.

One worker said he earned twice as much from his fishing job as he was at the contracting company.

Another factor valued the citizen fishermen's initiative to transfer workers' sponsorship and provide them with housing.

A worker said that he lost his job at the beginning of the pandemic of "Corona", and did not intend to return to his homeland, except that life is costly, which I feel very distressed, until he saw himself supervising despair, but the fishermen's initiative returned everything to its correct path, according to his expression. , And I felt that there was a better opportunity to work and resume his role towards his family members.

He emphasized that the citizen who employed him agreed to transfer his sponsorship, and he was allocated a monthly salary of 2,500 dirhams, in addition to the residence, which is much better than what he was getting from his previous work.

He continued that he acquired the skill of hunting easily after his education, and he did not face difficulty in long hunting trips, which include providing meals for workers throughout the period of the trip, which sometimes extends to two weeks.

An Asian worker indicated that he had worked in construction for four years, and with the beginning of the year he lost his job. He added that he went to one of the Emirate's fishermen, and asked him to help him work in the fishing profession. He added that the citizen welcomed him and employed him.

He emphasized that the total monthly salary that he receives exceeds 3,500 dirhams, as a result of the large number of trips during the current period, which comes after a period when trips became scarce as a result of high temperatures. He also gets a percentage of the profits in each fishing trip, which made him not to miss any trip so that he can save money for him and his family.

A source in the fishermen association in the Emirate of Fujairah stated that the number of Asians working in the fishing profession increased by 14% since the end of last year, as it increased from 6,164 Asian workers to 7,032 workers.

He said that senior fishermen hired Asian workers on fishing trips, after transferring their guarantees, providing housing and meals for them, in addition to allocating remunerative salaries to ensure that their needs are met, and granting them proportions of profits with each fishing trip.

Fishermen in the Emirate of Fujairah confirmed that they had allowed Asian workers, who had lost their jobs due to the current health conditions, to work for them, indicating that they were helping to adjust their conditions and learn the fishing profession.

The citizen Mohammed Saeed said that the increase in demand for fish during the current period, due to spending holidays inside the state, encouraged him to take this step, despite the financial risks that she endures, pointing to his sponsorship of three workers.

He added that a number of Asians who lost their jobs asked to work for him, so he transferred their guarantees and provided them with housing, invited them to obtain a living with dignity, and encouraged them to double the number of fishing trips.

The fisherman, Omar Omar Al-Hantoubi, confirmed the reception and training of Asian workers, since the blessed month of Ramadan, until they were able to go on long hunting trips.
