14-year-old raped in stairwell - boy sentenced to youth care

The girl met the 17-year-old and a dealer to buy marijuana, according to the newspaper. When she received the drug, the 17-year-old asked her to come with her into a stairwell. There he raped the girl and at the same time filmed the incident. He later sent the clip to a friend of the girl together with threats.

The boy claims that he and the girl had voluntary sex and that she has told him that she was older than 14 years, but according to the newspaper, the district court has judged the girl's story to be more credible.

There is also surveillance material from a bus where the girl is seen crying after the incident. This, together with witness statements from her friends that she met after the incident, as well as from the field assistants who were sought out, has led to the 17-year-old now being convicted of raping a child.

The sentence was judged by the district court to correspond to two and a half years in prison, but due to the boy's age he is sentenced to juvenile care and 140 hours of juvenile service. He must also pay SEK 115,000 in damages to the girl.
