For several months, investigators from the narcotics brigade of the departmental security of Toulouse had been aware of an important drug trafficking operated by residents of the Pink City, from Spain and Morocco. After a period of calm during confinement, it resumed again in June.
On July 17, on rogatory commission, the Toulouse police officers, with the support of the men of the Raid, arrested five men at the south tollbooth of Toulouse while they were ascending a convoy from Spain.
During the various searches, the investigators found 7.2 kg of herbal cannabis, but also 20 g of cocaine and 1,500 euros in cash. The five men, aged 37 to 45, were brought before an examining magistrate with a view to their indictment. Four were imprisoned and the last was placed under judicial supervision.
