[Explanation] At 12:41 on July 23, at the Wenchang Space Launch Site on the northeast coast of Hainan Island, China successfully sent the Mars rover into the scheduled orbit with the Long March 5 Yao 4 launch vehicle, and started the Mars exploration journey. This is the first step in China's planetary exploration.

The Tianwen-1 probe will fly in the ground-fire transfer orbit for about 7 months and arrive near Mars, complete the Mars capture by "braking", enter the ring-fire orbit, and choose the opportunity to carry out landing, patrol and other missions for scientific Mars exploration.

Through the implementation of the lunar exploration project, we have already achieved the ability to "circle, circumnavigate, and patrol" in one step, that is, realize the ability to circumnavigate Mars and land and patrol to detect Mars in one step. Therefore, we chose such a technical solution, which is very difficult. of. If we successfully land on the surface of Mars next year, we will be the first country to "circle, patrol, and patrol" through a single launch, and the first country in the world to do so.

[Explanation] Mars is the fourth closest planet to the sun. It is close to the earth and has the most similar environment. It is the first choice for humans to go out of the Earth-Moon system to carry out deep space exploration.

At present, the international Mars exploration has achieved rich results, and found some evidence that there was water on Mars, and even now there is water, which has also greatly inspired people's enthusiasm for searching for life on Mars.

On the orbiter, it needs to detect the surface magnetic field, surface morphology, and superficial structure of Mars, and even the content of water ice. In the rover, there is also an optical load on the surface of Mars. You can look at the surface morphology of Mars, then analyze the material composition, look at the superficial structure, analyze the magnetic field, and perform some measurements on the climate on the surface of Mars. The air temperature, pressure and temperature of the atmosphere are measured, so we can have a deeper understanding of Mars.

[Explanation] China's first Mars exploration mission was approved in January 2016. It was organized and implemented by the China National Space Administration. It is specifically composed of five major systems including the overall engineering and probes, launch vehicles, launch sites, measurement and control, and ground applications. In this Mars exploration mission, each system has the application of new technology.

Kashgar (measurement and control station) is worth mentioning that in addition to the 35-meter measurement and control station built by the lunar exploration project, it has also built three 35-meter measurement and control stations, which can be connected to the four and antenna arrays, so that the measurement and control capabilities are more Strong, it can fully realize the measurement and control communication when Mars is the farthest 400 million kilometers from the earth. This is a great breakthrough in measurement and control technology.

[Explanation] It is reported that, subject to the laws of celestial movement, the Mars exploration window is once every 26 months, and the window time is relatively short. Since 1996, almost every launch window has launched a Mars rover, and 2020 will usher in a new climax of deep space exploration where many countries gather in the Mars launch window.
