Marc Marquez, the six-time MotoGP world champion and title holder, who had an arm surgery on Tuesday, was declared fit to race this weekend at the Andalusia GP, the second round of the championship, announced his Honda team.

"Good for driving," Honda announced Thursday on Twitter. Marquez, 27, fractured his right humerus last Sunday when he fell during the Spanish GP and underwent surgery on Tuesday to reduce the fracture and place a plaque on the bone.

So far, his participation in the Andalusian GP was considered uncertain.

Two other drivers injured in the previous Grand Prix, Alex Rins (Suzuki) and Cal Crutchlow (Honda-LCR), have also been declared fit to compete in the next event.

Like the previous one, this one will be contested on the Angel Nieto circuit in Jerez (Andalusia).

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MotoGP championship calendar has been turned upside down and several Grand Prix are contested one week apart on the same track.
