A total of 653 driving licenses were revoked in Västmanland during the first half of the year, according to the Swedish Transport Agency. This is a significant increase compared to the same period last year.

And driving towards red or driving too fast continues to be the most common cause, and it is also the category that has increased the most since last year - from 281 to 310.

The second most common cause is drunk driving or drug driving. During the first half of the year, 125 people lost their driving licenses because they drove drunk or under the influence of drugs.
