The National Assembly held a plenary session today (23rd) to reject the impeachment proposition against Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae.

The impeachment bill was not passed today with 109 votes, 179 votes, and 4 invalid votes out of 292 members of the lawmakers' vote in a ballot-by-law vote under the National Assembly Act.

Earlier today, 110 future members of the United Nations, the National Assembly and independent members of the United States submitted a draft prosecution to the National Assembly.

The Liberal Party's predecessor, the Liberal Republic of Korea, proposed an impeachment plan against Minister Chu in January, but was automatically scrapped because the plenary session was not held within 72 hours.
