The Milan stock exchange opens down but picks up in a matter of minutes: + 0.3% for the Ftse Mib. A little below parity, on the other hand, London and Paris rise by 0.18% Frankfurt. The Eurostoxx 50 index, the basket of the top 50 Eurozone stocks, is down 0.12%.
Yesterday the Ftse Mib had risen by half a percentage point, after the agreement in Europe on the Recovery Fund.
The euro also strengthened yesterday, which remains stable today and is worth $ 1.15. In the last three months, the increase in value against the dollar is 6%.

These are days of strong rise also for gold: now it is worth 1860 dollars an ounce, + 1% compared to yesterday and + 30% in the last 12 months. Prices are on a level that has not touched since 2011. It is an increase that analysts believe is due both to concerns about the increase in the Covid pandemic and to expectations of new monetary stimuli in the United States.

On the raw materials front, oil had a blaze yesterday. Today it drops by half a percentage point but remains with the North Sea Brent above 44 dollars a barrel.

During the night, the drop in the Sydney stock exchange (-1.3%) was evident in the negotiations in the Far East, due to the record cases of contagions in the Melbourne area. Instead, the Shanghai stock exchange still rises (+ 0.37%).

Even the American stock exchanges yesterday had a mixed trend. Technology stocks fell (-0.81% for Nasdaq), which however came from historic highs. Today the quarterly reports of Microsoft and Tesla, two Nasdaq heavyweights, are expected. The Dow Jones index did well yesterday (+ 0.6%).
Among the individual stocks in Piazza Affari, higher increases for Buzzi Unicem, Fineco and Saipem, with increases of around + 2.50%. Greater reductions for Enel (-1.13%), Recordati (-0.8%), Moncler and Atlantia (-0.6% for both).
