In the orientation challenge he failed but he validated his resourcefulness certificate. In the early hours of Monday, a group of scouts is organizing a race between the communes of Salles, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, and Arthez d'Asson, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, at the foot of the Pyrenees National Park.

One by one, the 14 young people set off every two minutes from the bivouac of the town with the aim of reaching the other as quickly as possible. But at the end of the afternoon, one of the scouts is missing. The group leader then decides to contact the gendarmerie, she says on her Facebook page.

Many soldiers and resources are then deployed to find the missing person. At midnight, research is interrupted, to resume at dawn. It is the members of the high mountain gendarmerie platoon of Pierrefitte-Nestalas who will find him safe and sound. During the night, he had had the good idea to take refuge in a cabin near the Espades pass.
