Locomotive leaks oil - stop in train traffic north of Hudiksvall

It was shortly after 08 o'clock on Wednesday morning that the rescue service was alerted to a suspected locomotive fire north of Hudiksvall at the height of Hållsta.

- It is a locomotive that has had a small fire inside the engine compartment. Hydral oil has leaked, says Gunnar Lööf, rescue leader at Norrhälsinge rescue service at 08 o'clock.

The rescue service states that the freight train obstructs other train traffic north of Hudiksvall.

- There is a complete stop on the train traffic along the east coast line, says Gunnar Lööf.

- We have not yet received a forecast of how long it will be stopped. But SJ has installed replacement buses between Sundsvall and Gävle, says Thomas Johansson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.
