Customs officers at Milan's Malpensa airport (Italy) got hold of a two kilogram package of coffee in which 130 grams of cocaine were hidden. The package from Colombia was addressed to a certain Santino D'Antonio, name of the godfather of the mafia in the film John Wick 2 . This detail put the chip in the ears of the Italian police officers, tells CNN Monday. However, they were not at the end of their surprise.

A suspect arrested

Inside the box were indeed over 500 coffee beans that had been carefully hollowed out, filled with cocaine and sealed with dark brown tape. A video posted on Twitter by the financial police in the province of Varese, where the airport is located, shows the subterfuge used by traffickers to cover up the drugs.

A statement from the police published last Friday indicates that an investigation was carried out following this seizure. The authorities arrested a suspect when the latter came to collect the package from a tobacco shop in Florence. The 50-year-old individual is of Italian nationality but his residence address is in Medellín (Colombia). He was already known to the courts for drug cases.
