A man in his twenties drowned Tuesday in the Ardèche river, in the town of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, we learned from the firefighters. Originally from the Paris region, he bathed with friends on the beach of Pont-d'Arc. He tried with them to cross the river when he disappeared underwater.

His friends looked for him and quickly alerted the emergency services. The gendarmes in canoes from the gendarmerie station and the divers from the firefighters quickly intervened. His body was found four meters deep and the emergency services could not revive him, specifies France Bleu.
