Social security will be reduced by 1.6 trillion yuan throughout the year

  Under the impact of the epidemic, the phased reduction or exemption of corporate social insurance premiums is an important measure to help companies bail out. According to data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, as of the end of June, the three social insurances had reduced or exempted corporate payments of 576.9 billion yuan, and deferred payment of social insurance premiums of 43.1 billion yuan.

  In June, the three departments issued a notice clearly extending the implementation period of the phased reduction and exemption of corporate social insurance premiums. Nie Mingjun, director of the Department of Pension Insurance of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, introduced that the reduction and exemption policy will be implemented until the end of the year, and it is estimated that the three social insurances will reduce the cost of enterprises by 1.6 trillion yuan.   Some people are also worried, will the reduction of social insurance premiums affect ensuring that pensions are paid on time and in full?

  "It will not affect." Nie Mingjun said that the scheduling analysis of the operation of the pension insurance fund in the first half of the year showed that as of the end of June, the cumulative balance of the national enterprise pension insurance fund was 4.77 trillion yuan, and it is expected to maintain a balance of more than 3.8 trillion yuan by the end of the year. In addition, there is a national social security strategic reserve fund of more than 2 trillion yuan, which has a strong overall support capacity.

  At the same time, capital adjustments and support have increased. This year, the central government adjustment ratio of the fund has increased to 4%, the adjustment fund scale has reached 740 billion yuan, and more than 170 billion yuan has been adjusted across provinces. In mid-June, the transfer funds for the second quarter were all allocated, which strongly supported the provinces in difficulty to ensure the distribution.

  "There are also fundamental institutional arrangements to ensure long-term distribution." Nie Mingjun said that at present, 26 provinces across the country have achieved provincial-level overall planning, and the remaining provinces will also achieve unified provincial-level fund revenue and expenditure before the end of the year.
