Saif Al-Dhaheri, the spokesperson for the National Crisis Management Authority, said that after assessing the situation and coordinating with the concerned authorities, it was decided that Eid Al-Adha prayers would be conducted in homes and broadcast the takbeers through the visual and audio means.

He revealed raising the capacity of mosques to 50% with a commitment to physical distance of two meters, in addition to continuing all the precautionary and preventive measures and requirements previously announced.

And revealed the timing adjustment between the call to prayer and prayer to 10 minutes for all prayers except for the evening prayer, which will be 5 minutes, as of Monday, August 3, 2020.

Al-Dhaheri said that the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa authorized the provision of restricting the sacrifices by appointing official charitable societies in the country.

Al Dhahiri advised to pay the price of the sacrifice by entrusting the official charitable organizations to slaughter and distribute them, or through the relevant smart applications or by slaughterhouses determined by the local authorities to ensure the application of precautionary measures and providing services to dealers in vehicles without entering the livestock market or slaughterhouses. Al-Dhaheri added that the concerned local authorities will evaluate the procedures and inspection of slaughterhouses during the day of Eid and organize the movement in a manner that ensures non-crowding and the smooth provision of this service with ease.

Al Dhahiri stressed the prevention of dealing with itinerant workers with the aim of slaughtering the sacrifices, and all those dealing with them will be violated in order to ensure the health and safety of members of the community, and the need to take care and caution when distributing the sacrifice between family, relatives and neighbors so that they are not a reason to transfer the virus from one person to another.
