It is noted that the research was carried out by the rating agency National Credit Ratings (NKR) at the request of RBC.

Regions were assessed according to ten criteria, ranging from retail turnover per capita (as an indicator of demand), housing affordability, employment and savings levels, to the availability of teachers and doctors.

As specified, climatic conditions of residence were also taken into account.

Among the leaders of the rating are St. Petersburg, Moscow, Belgorod region, Moscow region and Voronezh region. Tuva, Karachay-Cherkessia, Altai, Jewish Autonomous Region, Kalmykia, Ingushetia and Khakassia are at the bottom of the list.

Earlier it was reported that Moscow took 18th place in the list of promising technological cities in Europe. The list was compiled by fDi Intelligence magazine and technology and innovation magazine TNW (The Next Web).
