According to RIA Novosti, a letter with a corresponding proposal addressed to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was sent by a member of the OP Sultan Khamzaev.

“Our residents are still concerned about the issue of supporting the elderly, pensioners who have fallen into a special“ risk group ”due to the spread of coronavirus infection,” the text says.

The letter says that "on average, the costs of pensioners only for drugs increased by 4 thousand rubles."

The OP noted that "many pensioners do not have additional sources of income, except for state aid in the form of mandatory monthly payments from the state (pensions)."

Earlier, the TV channel "360" reported that in Solnechnogorsk, 11 volunteers were presented with letters of thanks, thereby noting their merits during the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic.

The volunteers were thanked for their kindness, indifference and free work. They supported single pensioners, war veterans, large and low-income families: they brought them food, protective equipment and medicines, helped pay for utility bills.
