The guardians of the Venta del Batán, headquarters of the Bullfighting School in Madrid, have reported seven assaults on the Casa de Campo bullfighting facilities at the National Police station since last June. In addition, today they will report to the Police the threats received this past weekend from a group of foreign minors.

« In a month and a half they have entered the Venta del Batán seven times . They have broken our fence at least four times and threaten us saying they want to kill us. They are very aggressive boys and they are armed », says Lidia Menés, the caretaker of Venta del Batán who has been living in that house for 31 years. «We are afraid, what is happening has never happened. We don't know what they are for. I imagine they are looking for somewhere to occupy. They have thrown stones at us and beat our dogs to the point of lame one of them . Fortunately we have the police on our side, "adds the woman with concern.

Lidia and her family are making rounds every night to prevent further assaults on the complex. « A few days ago I saw how the ores were going to rob a couple who was walking through the Casa de Campo . I came out with a flashlight to dissuade them and then they came after me and one of them was flaming at me with a lighter as a sign that they were going to burn me. The Police have told us to be careful, since if a fire is set in the area it can be very dangerous for us and the premises, "explains Lidia.

The Madrid Children's Prosecutor's Office has already sent the response to the first complaint filed by the guards. " We have been told that the events are being filed and that was very serious because they threatened us with death, " says the woman.
