The Gum Council of Sudan has announced an initiative to use gum Arabic to improve the human immune system to combat the emerging coronavirus, expecting to start clinical trials soon.

He pointed out that the initiative works on 5 main axes: scientific study and research, clinical trials in isolation centers, laboratory experiments, good products, logistical and technical support for the initiative.

He stressed that the Council "relies a lot on this initiative, and gives it a priority in clinical trials as it is the food-safe product and (the experimenter) at all levels."
