27 December 2017Lavazza invests in digital entertainment. A financial holding company attributable to the family, owner of the well-known Turin coffee company, has purchased 25% of Chili, a transactional service able to offer film premieres, first visions, a digital catalog of over 50 thousand films and TV series.

According to rumors, the transaction, confirmed by Luigi Lavazza Spa, amounts to around 25 million euros.

Founded in 2012, Chili has established itself on the Italian market and has also launched the service in Great Britain, Poland, Germany and Austria. Among the shareholders Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Viacom and Warner Bros. Awarded in 2017 by Frost & Sullivan as Best 'European Entrepreneurial Company' of the year, for its innovative video-on-demand service, Chili is based in Milan .
